Cinnamon Apple Oatmeal provided by Nikki Pozzolini (Jan 15, 2014)

Serving size 1/2 cup

Makes 14 servings

3 cup water

2 cup unsweetened almond milk

1 TB pure maple syrup

2 TB agave

1 tsp vanilla extract

¼ tsp salt

¼ tsp apple pie spice

¼ tsp cinnamon

1/3 cup Un-Sweetend Apple sauce

1 Apple, Peeled, cored and small diced

,1 cup steel cut oats

1 cup Bob’s Red Mill old country style muesli

¼ cup pecans (chopped)

¼ cup unsweetened coconut

  • Combine first 10 ingredients in medium size sauce pan.

  • Heat until simmering on medium.

  • Add remaining ingredients and reduce heat to low.

  • Cook until liquid is almost all absorbed, about 20 minutes. Stirring occasionally.

  • When done turn off heat, place lid on sauce pan and let sit for 10 minutes. It will continue to cook.
