I get it, our lives get busy; between work, kids, cooking, cleaning, shopping, dr. appointments, animals, kids sports and keeping up with there hectic social schedules plus so many more responsibilities make it very difficult to avoid that fast food restaurant on the way home for dinner.

As people have become more health conscious, Fast food restaurants have tried to incorporate “healthier” items to their menus, but what are we getting when we order something from these menus; lets look at some of the popular choices:

Eat a Premium grilled chicken club sandwich from McDonalds and you will pack on 510 calories and 20 grams of fat, add a medium fry and you’ll be adding another 380 calories and 19 grams of fat, grab a medium soda and you can add yet another 200 calories, the grand total for this “meal” is 1,090 calories and 39 grams of FAT!

Lets say you SUPERSIZE it ……>>>.1390 Calories and 45 Grams of FAT!!

Order a Wendy’s ¼ lb. single w/ cheese hamburger gives you a whopping 580 calories and 31 grams of fat, add that medium fry for an additional 410 calories and 20 grams of fat, complete your “meal” with a medium coke and add 240 calories; Grand total for this “meal” is an astounding 1,230 calories and 51 grams of FAT!

While were at it, let’s make it large …….>>>1,400 calories and 55 grams of FAT!!

Just one crispy chicken breast from KFC is 520 calories and 34 grams of fat and lets be honest most people will get 1 chicken breast and a chicken leg which will ad on another 160 calories and 10 grams of fat and now we have to add the mashed potatoes for 120 calories and 4 grams of fat oh and we cant forget to add that biscuit for 180 calories and 8 grams of fat and finally that medium coke lets add another 250 calories…This “meals” grand total is 1230 calories and 56 grams of fat !

Lets order large (1 breast, 1 drumstick, 1 thigh, 1 mashed potato 2 biscuits and a large coke) and we have now increased our calorie consumption to

>>>…..1880 calories and 90 grams of FAT!!

Lets move on to taco bell….we hear the word veggie and we think we are doing great….but what’s in that, that makes the calories so high?

Order a cantina veggie burrito and just that alone is eye opening 720 calories and 25 grams of fat! Let us just order a fiesta chicken taco salad…good choice? NO this carries 730 calories and 35 grams of fat add a large soda and for an additional 380 calories and a side of Cinnabon delights for 260 calories and 7 grams of fat!

>>>……..Grand total is 1,370 calories and 42 grams of fat!

How about that whopper from burger king? I’m sure you guessed it. …Coming in at 730 calories and 44 grams of fat …maybe you want to double that..a double whopper is 900 calories and 56 grams of fat add those French fries (ya know the new “healthy ones ”lol) and would you believe they are 500 calories and 22 grams of fat alone! Thirsty most add that Large coke adding 290

>>>…Grand total for this meal is….1690 calories and 78 grams of fat!!

Next time you are tempted to drive through, think again, and drive right on by!
